ABOUT
Urban Beauty Lounge owner and founder, Melissa began her career in makeup artistry in 2004. While volunteering for cancer patients in the Worcester area, she was picked up by an agent who connected her with makeup jobs that ranged from print, runway, and television. And the rest they say, is beautiful history.
In 2007, Melissa became a licensed esthetician from The Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics. While there, she studied the science of skin care treatments for facials and chemical peels, product ingredients, sanitation, and waxing.

With six years in the beauty industry working for other salons, Melissa launched Urban Beauty Lounge in 2012, a beautiful home where clients can enjoy affordable, educated, and experienced approaches to skin care, cosmetics and overall beauty. The team, as well as all lines of products, are hand-selected by Melissa, ensuring that clients only have the most trusting and amazing experience while in the lounge.
Since its founding, Urban Beauty Lounge is proud to have been awarded "Best of Boston" for waxing, bridal makeup, and airbrush tanning. Additional and recent recognition includes "Best of Quincy" for facials/skincare, waxing and makeup.
